Hey there! It has been a hot minute since I last updated you guys on my life + what’s been going on so I thought I’d take some time today and do a coffee talk.
Coffee talks are basically life talks but with us sipping some virtual coffee together. 😉 So grab a cup of joe (or a glass of sangria, nobody judges here during coffee talks) and let’s get down to it!
It’s only fitting that I start off this coffee chat with my latest go-to order. Now that fall is officially here (woo woo!) I’ve switched up my typical Starbs order (grande iced skinny vanilla latte with coconut milk) for something more festive. Since it’s still high 90s here in Florida, I take fall where I can find it, and coffee is one of those places.

-School + Work-
So, last we spoke, I was just accepted into my grad school program for education at a school right outside of Washington DC and I was planning on moving back up North + taking a year off from my job to focus on my studies & a new profession. WELL, tides have turned and that isn’t the case at all anymore.
I decided to decline my enrollment offer to Marymount, was promoted at work, and now and staying crazy busy working external marketing at the same social media marketing company in Florida. I’ve been really happy with my decision + choosing to stay in the career path in marketing was definitely the right call. Eventually I plan on going back to school to obtain my masters degree, but more in line with what I’m already doing, perhaps with a focus on PR, Advertising, or even Business. We shall see. 🙂

I’ve been on a roll lately with getting my health back in check. I’m making it a point to go to the gym 4 days a week, not eating out during the week, and when I do eat out, stay on the healthy side of the menu.
I’m planning on creating a post about tips for finding motivation to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but I’ve found my top tips for sticking with the gym:
- Really decide WHY you want to go to the gym. Make this your motivation to keep you going.
- Find a gym buddy to keep you accountable + go with you. It helps if you guys have similar goals!
- Create a killer playlist or download Netflix [lately, I’ve been on a Scandal kick, but check out my other recs!] + only watch that certain show WHILE you’re actually there during cardio + stretching.
- Go directly from your office without going home first. I’ve been bringing my gym clothes with me, changing in the bathrooms at work, and heading straight there Monday-Thursdays.

In my perfect world, I’d spend my life traveling with my family + friends. This summer I made trips to Cancun, Charlotte, Washington DC, Philly, Maryland, Outer Banks, and a few weekend trips to nearby places, like Amelia Island and St. Augustine.
For our latest adventure, we headed to West Virginia for a wedding. Other than that, my plans are wide open until Christmas (we’re actually planning on staying in Florida for Thanksgiving this year). I’m excited for the downtime, but really relish the weekend travels, so I wouldn’t be surprised if some more trips were booked before the holiday season comes… 🙂

I’ve recently been getting really into video editing + playing around with different Adobe Suite products, particularly Premier Pro. The video editing software is by far my favorite that I’ve tried and I’m loving putting together clips from weekend trips.
I recently finished two – one from when our friends came to visit us in Florida from Philly & DC. The second was from our friend’s annual July 4th party in Maryland that also celebrated him graduating from law school + his birthday.
I’m playing around with the idea of vlogging (video blogging) and adding that to supplement this written blog. It’s a pretty large project, so now is the perfect time to start (it’s been in the back of my mind now for months) since I have a break from traveling. Have any of you tried out the Youtube life? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
