Hey there! I’m not an expert here, but I am a huge advocate of listening to your body and finding what is best & works for you! This method has personally worked wonders for my physical health (as of mid October 2018, I’ve lost 32 lbs) and my mental health + clarity have never been better. I highly suggest playing around with foods and fasting to see what makes you feel and function at your very best! xx, Melissa March 2017 - July 2018 Truthfully, I started to practice intermittent fasting before I even knew it was a thing. DJ had done intermittent fasting with some workout program he was focusing on a year or so prior, but besides me knowing the name of what he was doing, I did little-to-no research on the…

From the post, What to Do with 24 Hours in Washington DC What's up, friends & happy Friday! It's been a hot minute since my last Link Love (formally known as Feel Good Friday). Usually when I start a series, I am all about them. Remember my Super Bowl Goodies series? I was able to do plan, prep, shoot, & edit SEVEN posts in SEVEN days. Which, if you've ever dabbled in the good ol' blogging world, you'll know what a feat this actually was. Since its been months (yes, months...) since my last round up of good reads throughout the week, I knew I had to switch things up and it was becoming stale to me. I read so many articles, blogs, and watch Youtube videos all the time, so it wasn't like there was a…
downtown Dallas I'm drawn to cities and busy streets. I love exploring new cities, getting lost in busy streets, and experiencing different walks of life. To me, the best way to learn about a different place is to just place yourself in the middle of a city and wander. When I first moved to London, I took a tube to a random spot, got off to explore, and then attempted to find my way back by looking at the tube maps. Sure, it's not always the quickest route, but you learn the ins and outs of a city SO quickly. Over Labor Day weekend, Dj and I went to visit his family in Arlington, Texas. It's about 30 minutes from Dallas and 30 minutes from Fort Worth. It's right by the Dallas Cowboys stadium…
In this post, you'll find my Father's Day Gift Guide - 10 gifts under $80 (9 of which are below $50)! Father's Day is so special. As I get older, the more I understand setting aside a specific day just to celebrate your parents or who you may claim as 'dad'. It's important to remember that just as we are getting older, so are our parents. This year, I'm able to fly out to California for my younger brother + sister's high school graduation, and am staying through Father's Day weekend! I might be alone here, but I have a much easier time shopping for moms vs dads. It could be just because I'm a girl so I have a better understanding of "girly" gifts, so I figured a Father's Day Gift Guide would…
In this post, Music Monday, you'll find my top 10 song recommendations for the week! During work, I tend to switch from listening to audio books (check out what I’m listing to on Audible!) to music. Currently, I’ve been on a huge YouTube + Soundcloud kick so thought it was the perfect time to bring out a new series! Today, I’m bringing back Music Monday where I’m going to be sharing 10 songs I’ve had on repeat throughout the previous week. I absolutely love music recommendations and finding new tunes to listen to throughout the day, so please share with me what you’ve been listing to below in the comments! I’m one of those people that listens to pretty much every genre and constantly switching music moods, so I welcome any and all…

Wow- we are a mere 4 weeks until 2017! 2016, as a whole, was an eventful year. I thought a fun way to commemorate the end of the year would be to feature some of my favorite memories of the past few months as flashback posts! Short + sweet, but nice to remember the year by. :) So, to kick off my Flashback series, I present you a video I put together of our trip up North for 4th of July weekend! It was also to celebrate our friend, Gary's, graduation from law school.
