10 Foods to Bring to your 4th of July Party
Happy 4th of July weekend! I’m a huge fan of getting everyone together, cooking up a bunch of food, and celebrating an array of occasions.
July 4th is no exception to this; when I was young, July 4th meant family BBQs at the beach where we would roast marshmallows over a bonfire. When I was in high school, July 4th meant going to my friend’s lake house where we would all gather along the shore to watch the fireworks. Now, July 4th is getting together with friends to grill out, play some cornhole, and enjoy the company + day off. 😉
The one thing in common all my stages of life have with July 4th weekend is food is the key focus. There is something about gathering with friends + family, everyone bringing a dish to share, and enjoying the day together.
This holiday weekend, Dj and I are leaving the beach and flying up North to spend the long break with our friends. We are going to be hitting 4 states in 4 days (we tend to do this a lot over the holidays). We are starting off by -flying into DC to see my hometown/friends -> driving to New Jersey to see his grandma + mom -> driving to Philly to see his sister + friends -> driving to Maryland for our friend’s law school graduation/birthday/July 4th party -> back to DC to catch a flight and be back to work on Tuesday!
Needless to say, I’m going to need a vacation from this vacation, but to me, spending time with friends and family is what holidays are all about.
If your holiday weekend is anything like mine, I thought providing a guide into 10 simple recipes that would be a hit to bring to any type of July 4th gathering would be very useful. Even when I’m visiting, I hate showing up to any get together empty handed, so this weekend, I’m needing something that is simple + convenient!
I’d love for you to share with me what your plans are this holiday weekend down below in the comments! Whatever you’re getting into, I hope you all have a great weekend + stay nice and safe! xo
