Instagram Round Up! vol. 1

I realize not alllll of you have Instagram [although I’m extremely obsessed with it and don’t understand how not everyone can not be 😉 ], so I thought I’d share with you all some of my simple go-to’s I typically reserve for my Insta!


I have a bit of an obsession with oatmeal. Umm, do you recall this chocolate peanut butter cup or this chocolate covered strawberry recipe??? (drooool). My staple breakfast is most likely oats. This is a cup of plain old fashioned oats cooked in water. After they’re cooked, I mix in 1 packet of Truvia, a dash of ground cinnamon, and topped with berries!


Homemade Spa Water

Making a big ol’ batch of spa water and keeping it in the fridge is an easy way I stay hydrated throughout the week! Here we have 4 sliced lemons, a batch of fresh mint, and a large cucumber. You can find a citrus version I make here!



#ShamelessTrafficSelfie 😉 My all time favorite hair trick! I used to spend an easy 40 minutes curling my hair, but I found a way to curl my entire head in 5 minutes! You can watch my easy peasy tutorial here 🙂


Roasted Veggies

I owe SO much to meal prep! Here we have red bell pepper, white onion, and broccoli tossed in a bit of extra virgin olive oil, Italian seasoning, black pepper, fresh garlic, and a dash of cayenne pepper. I then roast it in the oven at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes! I will typically toss this with some fresh spinach or just leave the veggies alone and pair it with wild rice & chicken or turkey sausage.



I’ve been on a big protein shake kick lately. (This brand is my absolute fav!– it’s a substitute for Shakeology and seriously like 80% lower in cost for all the same health benefits.) My favorite way to drink it is to mix the chocolate powder with black coffee and shake it with a ton of ice! It’s perfect for a pick-me-up when you’re nearing the end of your work day and need some extra energy before a workout! [or shopping, ya know, potato-potattttoe 😉 ]


Shrimp Pasta

Remember this recipe for Light Cheesy Shrimp Pasta? This is a play on it but with different measurements & a few ingredient swaps. Here we have:

  • 3/4 cup shrimp
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat pasta
  • 1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 & 1/2 cup steamed broccoli
  • 1 & 1/2 cup sautéed onion, yellow squash, & zucchini
  • EVOO / garlic powder / onion powder / chili flakes – to taste
