Welcome to Miami!

Miami Beach

This weekend was all about salt in the air & sand in our hair!

If you follow me on Instagram [which you really should! 😉 ] you would have seen that we went down to Miami Beach for the weekend. I’ve only been to South Beach once with my college roommate, Aubrey, but that was when we were 20 years old, and I knew I had to experience Miami again now that I’m living 4.5 hours away and of age!

Since creating my  Summer Bucket List, I’ve been dedicated to complete it and Miami was #7 on that list!

Miami Beach

The water in Miami is so beautiful! I hadn’t seen water this clear since visiting Greece & am still in awe that this beach is located in America. Don’t get me wrong, America is filled with beautiful landscapes but clear beaches is not what we are known for!

You could be up to your neck in the water and still see your toes in the sand. I’m officially obsessed with you, Miami!

I could eat ice cream out here every day!

The people were SO nice, too.

Justin’s friend, Luis, lives in Miami so we had an advantage knowing of all the best spots to go. We decided on Monty’s Sunset for lunch and ended up staying there all afternoon long. They had local, amazing seafood, a friendly staff, and pool that overlooked the bay! We sipped on mojitos, ordered some shrimp tacos, and enjoyed the 90 degree heat.

It didn’t rain once the entire weekend which is UNHEARD of in Florida during the middle of the summer. Thanks, Mother Nature, for being on our side!

I’m already planning my next trip back! If you’ve been to Miami, do you have any suggestions of what I should do next time?
