Homemade Healthy Ranch Dressing

Protein Packed, Low-Fat Ranch Dressing

Guys. Guys. GUYS! Protein packed, low fat, low cal, and dare I say it, *healthy* ranch dressing was made this weekend!

Okay, confession time. I am a total ranch lover. Although, restaurant/homemade ranch definitely steals my heart. One time, my friend Tyler sent me a picture of a gigantic ranch dispenser at the zoo because it reminded him of me. So, yes, you can say I’m in a pretty serious relationship with this condiment.

I’ve been on a salad & homemade dressing kick these past few months, but this little Mason jar of goodness takes the cake.

So, let’s break this down real quick:

Hidden Valley Ranch, America’s number one boo packs 140 calories in 2 tablespoons. My homemade ranch? 24 calories in 2 tablespoons.

So yes, come and join me on my ranch loving bandwagon because it is now jammed packed with proteins, healthy fats, while keeping the taste! *dancing girl emoji*

Here’s all you need:

  • 1 package of Hidden Valley ranch seasoning (8 tablespoons)
  • 1/4 cup of milk (I used low-fat)*
  • 2 cups of nonfat plain Greek yogurt (any brand will do)
  • Cute little container (Mason jars for the win!)

*For a thinner consistency, add more milk. For thicker, add less

All you need to do is whisk all of these tasty ingredients together and it is good to go! Since it is not packed with oils or preservatives, this dressing will last 1-2 weeks.

I topped a salad with it for a quick lunch yesterday! It had:

  • Chopped romain
  • Green apple
  • Yellow & red bell pepper
  • Pecans
  • Dried cherries
  • 2 tablespoons of this homemade ranch

Do you have a favorite dressing that you’d like to see a lighter spin on?
