Homemade Air Fresheners

There are few things in life I enjoy more than a really great smelling home. My apartment is flooded with candles ranging in every different scent, brand, and wax base. However, the downfall of candles are that: You cannot leave them burning when you leave your house They eventually die out :( Those beautiful little jars can be pretty pricey You can do so much with essential oils (plus the scents last a while!) that I decided to play around with what I already had on hand. Good news guys, these actually turned out! You'll Need: A jar of your choice [I chose a standard mason jar since I always have them on hand] 1/4-1/2 cup of baking soda 10-20 drops of your favorite essential oil * 8x8 square of a light weight fabric *I made 2…

Prepared for Warmer Weather: Drinks & Salads

When the weather begins to heat up, my food & drink preferences change. I no longer crave cooler weather comfort foods like soup or heartier meals, such as chili (even though it's delish). I begin to migrate towards salads, smoothies, iced coffee, cold wraps, hummus inspired dishes, lighter choices for everyday snacking, and plenty of fruits in different varieties! [My clothing choice also begins to lighten up. ;) ] The other day, it was 86 degrees & there was not a cloud in the sky. We went to one of my all time favorite Happy Hour spots, M Shack. I ordered the [above] drink which was a Green Tea Mojito. I love green tea, and I love mojitos, but together? That apprehensive curiosity quickly turned into die-hard love after one sip. This drink…

When it comes to my personal style, I'm all over the place. There are days where I will spend 45 minutes on my makeup & hair alone, and there are others where I'll hop out of the shower and rock the au natural look. ;) One thing that I really do love is following style icons on Instagram. It's so fun seeing a glimpse into their personal lives, seeing what looks they're pulling off, and if I'm feeling risky, I'll try and pull of similar looks! These 'grammers range from the Hollywood Lights to fellow bloggers. I'd love for you to share with me some of your favorite style icons! :) 1. Blake Lively It only seemed fitting that my #1 girl crush in life would come first. I've loved Blake since she rocked…

Te[quila], Summer’s Best Friend; Look of the Day

Guys. I’m so excited about the warmer weather. Living so close to the beach definitely has it’s perks. When I was younger, I lived in Southern California, but we typically spent more time at the pool than we do at the ocean. It makes sense, beach days are a lot of prep work, but they are definitely worth it! To prepare for the upcoming summer months, I’ve started to shop my summer closet! Top: Nordstrom    [I had already purchased my finds, saw this shirt, automatically grabbed it, and went right back in line] Shorts: Shop Hopes   [10% off your first order and FREE shipping always!] Heart Sunglasses: Norstrom BP   [4 color options!] What’s your warmer weather go-to look?

Nautical Look; Spring has Sprung!

Spring has arrived! The flowers are in full bloom, bees are starting to appear again (yuck), and rain is now in basically every weather forecast in Florida for the next 4 months! To kick off the warmer months, I’ve brought back the nautical look to my wardrobe. (Yay! It’s getting into boating & beach weather) This is something I wore to work last Friday. If your office isn’t as casual as mine, top it with a light sweater! Jeans: Paige straight leg jeans (now on sale!) Top: Charming Charlies (check out the cute bow in the back!) Shoes: Gap (sold out- but you can find a similar pair at Target!) What’s your favorite spring time look?

Top 10 Cardio Songs & a New Workout Method!

Do you remember when I mentioned that I’m trying to jump up my activity level, but due to high pollen count (and simply taking so much time off from running) it was creating an issue of long, discouraging running times? Well! I have an update for you! I follow a ton of personal trainers// nutritionalists // foodies // fellow lifestyle bloggers on my Instagram where I was told a great tip when getting back into cardio. I saw it in a ton of comments, so I can’t remember exactly who said it (hate when that happens!) but she was a trainer who said that if you need to give your lungs a break (due to pollen), or if you are just getting back into running & trying to build your strength back up,  the most…

My Top 5 Must-Have Summer Body Products [Under $20!]

It’s hard to believe that summer is already creeping up upon us. When it comes to this sun-kissed season, I’m obsessed with everything about it. The sunshine, the sand, salt water hair, naturally pink cheeks, margaritas.. I could go on an on! To get a jump-start on all-things-summer, I thought I’d put together a post of all my favorite summer go-to body products. Best part? They’re all under $20! Being a recent college grad, I am still on a strict budget. I love to hunt around and try and find the best deals, hidden gems, and try out new products. Here is a list of my favorites:   1. Bare Minerals Blemish Therapy:  I’ve struggled on and off with blemishes since middle school. Nothing seemed to work when I was younger, and it…

Arm Candy Appreciation Post

I have the biggest obsession with my arm jewelry right now and felt the need to share! Simple, classic, gold accessories have been my latest outfit staple lately. There is something that is just so eye catching to me about uniquely timeless jewelry. (For example, the weaving on this watch band) Love/Hope/Joy Bracelet: (old) Fossil Watch: Here!  Alex and Ani bangle: Here!    If you haven’t heard of Alex and Ani, I highly suggest checking them out. They make these cute little bangles, each charm representing a different cause & meaning. On top of that, they will donate to a charity that is represented in that charm’s cause. Cute bangles for a good cause that you personally believe in? Yes, please! :)   What is your staple outfit go-to?
