This weekend was one for the books, to say the least. I was lucky enough to spend a few seasons throughout the past 4 years living abroad in London and have made some pretty awesome friends along the way. This past weekend, 2 of my friends came down and we reunited on the American soil of Jacksonville, Florida. Jonny, David, and I at JAX Beach Jonny, the one on the left, flew all the way across the pond and brought his sister, Jenny, and friend, Ben. Being a Tourist in Our Own City; St. Augustine

If you haven't caught up on my weeks worth of posts yet, Dj's mom & sister came down to Florida to visit! We jammed packed a lot through the 4 days (including our epic trip to Harry Potter World!) and, of course, we had to plan a day trip to St. Augustine. St. Augustine is only about 25 minutes away from us, and is definitely my favorite local spot. Visiting Harry Potter World! #MuggleLife

  This past weekend, Dj's mom and sister came down to Jacksonville to visit! All of us are big Harry Potter fans, and it was his mom's birthday, so we knew we had to take a trip down to Orlando and explore the new Harry Potter world at Universal Studios! I haven't been since they've added HP World. Of course, I had to enjoy some butter beer in front of the castle. I was blown away at just how amazing of a job they did! The rides were mostly all stimulation, but they made it seem just like the movies. The past two weeks have been pretty busy. Dj was in Japan for work, I’m working on migrating my blog over to a Wordpress domain (more on this later), and I’m trying to finish applying for grad schools. This weekend, Dj came back, we had met new friends that just moved down to Florida, and the weather was beautiful! What this all calls for? Happy hours! Exploring different areas, trying out new restaurants, and getting together for drinks are all things I love to do. Weekend Recap- Exploring Northern Florida

This weekend was definitely one for the books! My best roomie4L friend came to visit me from Pittsburgh for the weekend! Sara and I went to school at West Virginia University together, ended up on the same floor in our freshmen year dorms, signed a lease to live together our following year (without knowing each other AT ALL), and ended up being two peas in a pod. A Valentines Day to Remember <3

This post is a little late, but I guess it’s better late than never. :) I love that Valentines Day fell on a Saturday this year! It was the perfect day here in Florida, consisting of beautiful 70 degree weather without a single cloud in the sky. It’s like Mother Nature knew Dj and I needed a day to just be together. First thing in the morning, we exchanged gifts. While most girls get flower bouquets for this special day, I get a cake pop bouquet. He just knows me tooooo well.. ;) Cake pops are my weakness! Wedding Time! San Diego Bound

This past weekend, one of my oldest friends got MARRIED! It was so exciting. She asked me to be her maid of honor and I happily accepted & flew out to San Diego for a quick, but much needed weekend getaway to help celebrate her special day. I’ve mentioned before that I have a lot of family out in California, so I was able to spend Thursday night, all day Friday, and Saturday morning with my dad, step mom, and 2 precious sisters. #TreatYourSelfSunday- Another Broken Egg Cafe & Thanksgiving Weekend

I’m a big fan of brunch. I don’t know how exactly to describe the love that I have for this meal besides saying that it is probably in the top 5 favorite things I enjoy doing in life. Yes, seriously. We recently just had Another Broken Egg Cafe open up here in Jacksonville, so we thought we’d give it a try. It has now become one of my absolute favorites! Dj, Tyler, and I went right before Thanksgiving weekend. Dj and I took our friend, Kristen, when we got back (yes, we were that obsessed).
